World Day Against Trafficking in Persons

LOTUS partnered with Corner Bakery-Shorewood and Brianna Seipel to bring attention to World Day Against Trafficking in Persons and to raise money to support survivors.

​With the impending arrival of the Democratic National Convention this summer the epidemic of sex trafficking in Milwaukee and Wisconsin deserves serious exploration. Impact100 Greater Milwaukee’s next Beyond the Headlines series will examine Sex and Human Trafficking with a moderated discussion including our own LOTUS Board President, Linda Krieg, who will be lending her expertise and perspective to this vital panel presentation.

LOTUS is extremely excited to be partnering once again with Woodland Pattern Book Company! Please join us for their 26th Annual Poetry Marathon and Benefit.  LOTUS will be sponsoring the 9pm-10pm portion of the marathon, and will have ten alums of the Untold Stories program sharing their work. Your $10 admission to this unique fundraising event gives you all-day access to 15 hours of performances from 150 local poets and writers.
